Lean, versatile and highly nutritious, chicken is a staple of home cooks everywhere, from the traditional Sunday roast to that 70s classic, chicken Kiev. While we focus on producing top-quality eggs, we also offer superb chicken from Ross Gardener at Otter Valley Poultry. He provides us with meat from slow-grown, free-range organic Hubbard chickens which mature at about 12-14 weeks of age (as compared to the more usual 8-9) meaning the meat has time to develop real texture and a wonderful, savoury flavour.
